Erotica
Book Review: The Master by Tara Sue Me
THE MASTER by Tara Sue Me
Genre: Contemporary Romance – BSDM – Erotica
She’s ready to try again. . . .
Sasha Blake is scarred from a BDSM session gone wrong, but she can’t deny how much a strong Master turns her on. Determined to overcome her fears and rejoin the Partners in Play community, she asks Abby and Nathaniel West to set her up with a Dom who can help her feel safe again as a sub. They know the very experienced Cole is exactly the kind of man who can push all of Sasha’s buttons—and she soon wants to go much faster than she had planned. . . .
Cole knows that Sasha is not the kind of submissive he needs. He wants someone who will serve him 24-7, not a part-time partner. Still, the further they go into their play, the more Cole begins to wish he could make Sasha his all the time. . . .
When forbidden desires turn into scorching action, Sasha and Cole come face-to-face with their demons—and realize their scorching relationship might be too dangerous to last. . . .
In her latest novel, Tara Sue Me has masterfully written a world of sophistication and eroticism as we step into the pages and days of master and slave. The relationship between Master Cole and his submissive, Sasha, takes the reader on a journey of discovery and healing. Sasha has experienced a tragic experience in the world of BDSM, and it’s up to Master Cole to train her to trust again. Can he do it while remaining professional and not becoming emotionally involved?!
One of my favourite things about Tara Sue Me and her writing is the ability she has to build a world without to need to micro describe every detail. The reader is encouraged to use their imagination and form the characters and situations from the page to their mind.
The Master is another delightfully dirty addition to the world of BDSM that Tara Sue Me started in The Submissive. Having the characters from her ‘series’ appear in this book makes it feel like you’re reading about a special group of people, that don’t usually let outsiders in. A true voyeuristic peek into the world of BDSM, both in and out of scenes.
The Master is a must read for anyone who loves eroticism sprinkled with deeper relationships. A stand alone that can be read as a part of the series, or on its own.

Confidential Craving by Piper Denna
Stand-alone Erotic Short-Story from the Fantasies Inc. Series
Erotic Contemporary Romance
Victoria walks into her friend’s law practice for an appointment regarding her new business, but leaves with a dinner date to pick up her documents…from his partner. The sexy attorney with a British accent has managed to reawaken the libido she’s ignored for months while launching Fantasies, Inc., an upscale resort pandering to sexual yearnings. And hey, if she’s going to capitalize on cravings, she might as well have some of her own, right?
Brett has been warned to stay away from Victoria. He’s to draw up her papers. Nothing more. Except, upon meeting her, he’s compelled to ask her out. First item on his menu? Seduction. He senses her bottled-up cravings and intends to uncork her, warnings be damned.
About the Author
Romance is sexy. And often funny, and sometimes tangled up with suspense. Let’s face it: all sorts of things get mixed up with romance in real life.
Piper Denna’s stories are not cut-and-dried romance. Her characters deal with issues female readers can relate to: independence and trust, empowerment, inhibition, an unfaithful partner, motherhood. Sometimes her characters make mistakes, and often her “bad guys” are not 100% bad. She hopes to take the reader on an emotional journey to a happy ending…with enviable sexual encounters along the way.
When she’s not writing, she edits, raises two teens along with her husband, and collects scrapbooking material. She enjoys books—or movies—with a comedic twist and hopefully a love story with lots of tension, too. Sexiest parts of a man in Piper’s opinion? The hands and eyes. Shoulders are nice too, and of course, great pecs are never amiss…

Iyana is a dreamer who lives in Jakarta, a city famous for its traffic jams, a lot of cars and motorcycles, and people selling stuff on the roads. You can spend two hours on the road going to a place you can reach in half an hour in a normal situation. Thanks to the traffic jams, though, Iyana can come up with a lot of stories, mostly shorties, as she prefers to spend the time during her trips writing into her cell phone rather than sleeping.

I’m usually all for hot guys in rock bands and hooking up with them..waitwhat.. I mean, I’m all for READING about them *grin*. Unfortunately I couldn’t get into this book. I’m wondering if it’s because I didn’t read the first one in the series, called Too Fast. I think I wanted more from it. I can’t quite tell you why I didn’t like it, but it didn’t grab me. Have you read it? Did you like it? I’d love to know! It’s got a great cover going for it..all mystery man with the tattoos. I can imagine him playing the drums in a band.

Review – Three of Hearts by Kelly Jamieson
Genre: Contemporary Romance. Erotica. Menage (MMF).
Haylee Tremayne is tired of the road. The concert tour for Three of Hearts was a success, but she’s confused by the inexplicable tension between her bandmates, Ben and Lucas. She’s also ready to go home to her boyfriend in Nashville. Time off would probably help everyone relax, even if it is Christmas, a season with too many bad memories.
But right before their last concert, Haylee discovers she’s been dumped for a sexy girly-girl. Story of her life: all guys see is tomboy Haylee. At the after-concert party, she drowns her sorrows and—desperate to feel feminine for once in her life—asks Ben and Lucas for a threesome. And it’s just as sexy and fun as she hoped.
Back in Nashville, Ben and Lucas prove again and again that their first night wasn’t a mistake. But the tension between them is still high, and on Christmas Eve, their ménage takes a stunning turn. When it all falls apart, Haylee is terrified that their crazy relationship might cost them the band, their success, and worst of all, each other.
A generous story about how being together can bring you closer, but not before tearing you apart. I enjoyed this story, with the mix of intimate scenes, as well as storyline. I felt like there could have been a bit more drama and fleshing out of the ‘issues’, but in the end it was wrapped up nicely. The chemistry between the three main characters was believable and the sex scenes weren’t outrageous, which can sometimes happen in menage. I have a thing for guys with guitars, so of course I was all over the guys in this book! I loved the cover as well. I would recommend this book to friends, and love the fact that profits of this book help the It Gets Better campaign.

About the Author:
I’m a married mother of two who lives a very ordinary life outside of my imagination. When I’m not writing I’m usually reading. I also like to cook and that means I like to read cookbooks and cooking magazines. In the summer I enjoy spending time gardening and in the winter I like to read gardening magazines and seed catalogues. I love lying on the beach or on my deck with a glass of wine and a good book. I also love to travel. As you can see, pretty much all my activities involve reading somehow! Although I don’t have as much time for it any more, I also love to shop, especially for clothes and shoes. Some think I’m obsessed with shoes but that is not true (although my husband would point out that there is no room left in our closet).

New Release & Review – Mythica by L.J. LaBarthe
Genre: M/M Contemporary Paranormal Romance. Adult Fiction.
Caiden Jones is part-selkie and lives an idyllic life by the sea in South Australia. He’s had his fair share of disappointments, like being kept out of the Navy due to his mythica status, but overall he’s got a pretty good life. Until he’s in the wrong place at the right time.
Cai steps in to subdue an out-of-control minotaur and in the process suffers a serious injury to his ribs. As Cai struggles to breathe, a gorgeous suit-clad sy’lph with mesmerising blue eyes races to his rescue. When it’s learned that the minotaur was poisoned, the sy’lph, Gray, makes it his personal mission to keep Cai and his family safe.
Cai has always harboured some resentment towards the sy’lph because of their easy acceptance into the community, so the attraction he feels for Gray takes him by surprise. But how can they find out what this might mean when the lives of Cai and his family are endangered by someone closer than they realise?
I love stepping out of my comfort zone when it comes to books (well, okay, except for horror! I still can’t!!!). This book definitely was an interesting mix of things in a book. When I think of paranormal, my mind automatically goes to vampires and angels, but this is a new one. I’d go with a bit of Sci-fi in this, as well.
I enjoyed reading about mythical creatures, and although I wasn’t sure what a selkie was, a quick Google had me at a treasure trove of pics and information! (Our main character is half-seal, for those playing at home!) Who knew there was an amazing world of mythical creatures to discover!!?!!
The timeline in the book isn’t very long, and there are a lot of times that I wanted more interaction between the two main characters, but I think the author did a great job. The chemistry between Caiden and Gray was cute. I kept on thinking of Gray, a sy’lph, as the silver surfer from Fantastic Four! The author gives us descriptive tastes, smells, and scenery, which added in with the Aussie-isms thrown back and forth between ‘mates’, gives the reader a sense of down to earth Australia.
The drama of injuries, poisonings, kidnappings, and terrorist vigilante groups was quite reminiscent of today’s society, and I had to keep reminding myself that it was a paranormal world, not one we live in. It was fun to read an Aussie book, with the writing of an Aussie ‘voice’.
Congratulations to the author on her novel release. I look forward to checking out more of her work.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
L.J. LaBarthe is a French-Australian woman, who was born during the Witching Hour, just after midnight. From this auspicious beginning, she went on to write a prize-winning short story about Humpty Dumpty wearing an Aussie hat complete with corks dangling from it when she was six years old. From there, she wrote for her high school yearbook, her university newspaper, and, from her early teens to her twenties, produced a fanzine about the local punk rock music scene. She loves music of all kinds and was once a classical pianist; she loves languages and speaks French and English and a teeny-tiny smattering of Mandarin Chinese, which she hopes to relearn properly very soon. She enjoys TV, film, travel, cooking, eating out, abandoned places, urbex, history, and researching.
L.J. loves to read complicated plots and hopes to do complex plot lines justice in her own writing. She writes paranormal, historical, urban fantasy, and contemporary Australian stories, usually m/m romance and featuring m/m erotica.

Review – Eraser by Megan Keith
Genres: Adult Fiction. Romance. Erotica. BDSM. Short Stories.
A man with no name.
Mysterious.
Dangerous.
Brooding.
Sexy.
Once a week he frequents the bar where Mackenzie works. He orders the same drink, scotch on the rocks, and he sits back on the same lounge chair, quietly watching… waiting…
He has money – that much is obvious. He wears his tailored suits well. He smells divine, of expensive cologne, and orders his scotch from the top shelf.
He drinks alone, but he never leaves that way. With a snap of his fingers, a flick of his eyes, a glimmer of a smile, he gets the attention of the most attractive women in the bar.
This time his focus is on Mackenzie. Instead of feeling nervous Mackenzie is enthralled, intrigued… and aroused.
WARNING: This novella contains explicit sex scenes (including BDSM) and is for mature 18+ readers only. PLEASE NOTE: This was originally written as a stand alone short story but after numerous requests for more, it has recently been turned into a series. Book two, Eraser Blue, and book three, Eraser Lilac, are both now available.
Looking for a quickie?! I found one! This is a good, mysterious, one hour read. It’s nice that through out this novella there is an air of mystery, and, an air of familiarity between these two. She’s a waitress in a classy bar, he’s the mystery man that always comes in regularly, and watches, waiting for the right time to take her. I was expecting a big reveal at the end, but no spoilers, I like that she doesn’t know his name, or at least it’s never revealed. This has been turned into a series, but I’m quite content to have just read this.
Give this a go if you’re after a quickie. It does contain mild BDSM, nothing off the colour charts. At the time of this review, this novella was a freebie on Amazon. It was very well edited and a smooth read.
I’d recommend reading it and seeing if you like the authors style, as she has many more titles available, and I think she’ll be one to watch.
