Hi Everyone!
Just another quick note from hell (I mean, home) …

As you know, this blog is a ‘hobby’ for me, and by definition should be something I love to do. You may (or may not) also know that I am a full time studying mumma to 3, and have a hectic life.

Thus, the blog is quiet. It doesn’t mean I’m not reading (especially those books I’ve been sent by amazing authors/PR companies/publishers). It just means that they are all in my head and I haven’t had time to sit and format blog posts. I’m about to start a crazy 3 week full time placement block with uni, but once it’s over – I am freeeee for 6 weeks!! In that time I will load up all of the owing reviews!

If you have sent me your book and you can’t find my review online please feel free to drop me a line at sydneygenreads@gmail.com – I’ve been known to need a little nudge and reminder every now and then.

By day Ann Grech lives in the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. With her quirky glasses and shiny leather briefcase, she has the librarian look nailed. All laced up tight in her pencil skirts and killer heels, her students can only fantasise about what she gets up to in her spare time. If only they could see those tattoos! Oh, and those notepads of story ideas tucked away in odd places that would be sure to have them fanning themselves!

By night she’s a wife and mum and a purveyor of saucy stories that are filled with lust, raunchy scenes and ultimately love. Ann’s an avid reader of anything sexy and firmly believes in the motto ‘leave mummy alone, she’s reading or writing.’ Because of that, she is pretty hopeless when it comes to getting dinner on the table on time or cleaning the house.

I am currently reading entries into the Romance Writers of Australia Book of the Year awards! It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it! Due to that, my reviews are slightly behind, but will come as soon as I’ve read the final two entries.

Over the weekend I went to the fantastic Books By The Bridge signing in Sydney, Australia. It was brilliant. I will do a special write up and post about that and pop it up on the weekend! I met so many fabulous authors that were known AND new to me! I also have a couple of books to giveaway AND some signed swag!

Can these two polar opposites find a way to make a relationship work? Will all that dating a rock star entails break them or bring them closer? Find out in the first book of the Velocity series.

I wasn’t sure about this book, but I know it’s going to have some major fans out there!! This book is a rockstar book, without being about the rock band as such. Ash and Michelle meet under unlikely circumstances, and after some back and forth, they finally take the plunge to see what is there. Michelle isn’t used to attention from someone like Ash, and Ash isn’t used to someone wholesome like Michelle. The two of them navigate the new relationship throughout the book. If you are looking for some hot erotica and exploration then this is a good book to read. There’s a little drama weaved through, but I feel like that is being set up for next books. The real drama to the storyline comes towards the end and keeps the reader interested in the story and the relationship. This is a first in the series and does end abruptly, but I think it’s purposeful to keep the reader keen and ready for the next book! Like I said, grab this book for some steamy scenes about a dirty bass player in a rock band!
